The Endearing Magic of Chocolate Peanut Butter

As far back as I can remember, chocolate peanut butter cookies have been almost every kid’s (and adult’s too) favorite. My grandmother’s recipes have been handed down to my mother and we have always enjoyed raiding the cookie jar for a taste of the oh-so-delicious mixture of chocolate and peanut butter all afternoon!

Aside from the regular fare of making cookies out of the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, there are other equally delectable and tempting variations that have come up in my grandmother’s kitchen which I would like to share with all of you.

Chocolate peanut butter ice cream is one that I love most. No matter if making my own concoction results in a gooey cup of vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and chunky peanut butter, I simply love the taste! Even my children have fallen in love with this sensation but with the introduction of a similar flavor from ice cream manufacturers like Baskin Robbins, it’s always good to be able to get a pint of this delicious treat at any supermarket or ice cream parlor.

Another tempting fare is chocolate peanut butter pizza which most kids simply adore and can eat to no end. It is very ideal for dinner or late night snacks for kids especially on weekends and holidays.

A traditional mainstay is the buckeye cookie. You can mix and match it with chocolate chips, coconut and peanut butter a few minutes before you take it out of the oven for even an even tastier cookie that drastically tastes so delicious compared to other cookies.

You can also experiment on your own chocolate peanut butter concoctions to find out what your children love most. After giving them a taste of the regular ones and experimenting on various combinations with pies, ice cream, cookies and brownies you will surely be able to present an enviable collection of chocolate peanut butter snacks not only for your children but friends and relatives as well ideal for different holiday occasions or any lazy afternoon.
