You must follow a useful baby food feeding guide to keep your child strong and healthy. The diet chart of a baby depends entirely on his age and the type of digestive capacity he has. Usually it is only milk that the baby takes since birth up to the age of four months.

The recent recommendation of the doctors is to extend the period up to six months. Baby milk feeding habit is a must and the breast milk is the best for infants till the age of six months. After this the semi solid food is added to his diet chart.

There are various home made recipes that you can prepare for your child. These are much better than the prepared food that you get in the stores. You can stay clear of additives and use the best quality ingredients for your baby.

Babies feeding chart must contain fruit smoothies, boiled cereals and other items prescribed by the pediatrician. Every time you plan to introduce a new food to the menu card make sure that you consult the doctor. Babies are allergic to certain types of foods. It is important to identify the allergy that the child is suffering from as well as the food that is causing it.

It is imperative that the mother follows the baby feeding guide. It is this that will tell you the baby eating schedules. There are specific age ranges to introduce new food items. Doctors often advise mothers not to give meat and eggs to the babies in the first year itself. These can cause allergy.

It is best to wait till the second year when the child has grown more immune and his digestive capacity improves. Moreover, you must observe the reaction of your baby to each Introduction before you go on to the next item. Wait for sometime until the child is accustomed to the new food.

It is very important that you watch your baby very closely to understand his needs better. Remember that it is your child who is your actual guide. The quantity of food to be given to your baby is also an essential factor contributing greatly to his health and growth.

Some mothers are of the opinion that the more the baby eats the faster he grows. A child’s health depends on his ability to assimilate the food given. This varies differently in different babies. It is not wise to feed a child forcefully. This may develop a dislike for food. The amounts to feed babies are calculated entirely on the quantity consumed by the bay voluntarily.

The useful baby food feeding guide is the best trainer for every new mother so that the baby can grow up to be healthier and stronger right from the start. A nutritious diet is necessary for your child to combat all kinds of ailments.

As the child grows up the parents are faced with several problems. Every developmental change is characterized by a new problem. With the onset of the teething period, the child suffers from diarrhea. Both the mother and baby suffer from the troublesome teething diarrhea.

Doctors feel that actually the two are not connected. During the teething time the child often has loose stool and this worries the parents. It is believed that while the child is in the mother’s womb he gains a certain degree of immunity. After birth this level diminishes and results in diarrhea. It is also true that the babies tend to bite at almost anything they can lay their hands on, thus eating germs too. Diarrhea is a direct result of this.

There are various effects of teething in babies. It is noticed that teething age in babies differ greatly. Some children begin teething at the age of five months, while others may begin ten months later. A characteristic of this age is that children salivate profusely and this breaks up the food, diluting them while mixing acids. This diluted food passes out as stool more frequently than normal. The acids that pass along with the stool burn the tender skin of the baby and this gives rise to rashes.

The most effective way to deal with this situation is by changing the food pattern of your baby. Carrots, bananas, rice are good for diarrhea while prunes, apricots, peaches and pears are detrimental to the child’s health. To treat baby diarrhea, give your baby bilberries and blueberries as well.

A good treatment for infant teething is the mild homeopathic medicine. It is only the doctor’s prescribed medicine that is to be given to the infant. No matter how confident you may be, do not try your own choice of medicines on the baby. An alternative to this can be the chamomile. Its soothing effects on the nerves can put an irritable child to sleep. Boiled chamomile mixed in the tea can be given to your baby, in small doses, in his own bottle.

The common mistake that mothers make is to connect infant vomiting to diarrhea. In fact often it is seen that a viral infection can result in vomiting too. The best thing to do is to get a doctor’s advice. It is useless to leave the disease unidentified and administer wrong medicines. This may aggravate matters and the baby may develop serious ailments from it. Experts believe that babies undergo a stressful period while they are teething.

This stress makes them fall an easy prey to diseases. Their tender bodies are not strong enough to ward off the ailments. This is why a visit to the doctor is so very important.

It is important that you train your child at an early age, so that the baby becomes self dependent and you are relieved of one tedious duty.

Potty training gives the baby a sense of timing, location and duty. It also teaches him regularity and cleanliness. Since the adult pot seats are too big for the baby, smaller potty seats are made to enable the child to sit on it easily and comfortably. The potty seats are portable and can be placed either at convenient places or on the adult seats with the help of the adapters.

There are many kinds of potty seats. The baby Bjorn potty is one variety that has a round or oval shape and it helps the child to seat on it properly. This baby potty seat can be placed on any adult pot seat therefore the child gets accustomed to the bigger pot seats early and easily.

The dial of the baby Bjorn potty seat stays securely in place and there is no fear of the child falling off. For storage facility the seat also has a hook and you can hang it too. Built into the seat is the splashguard that guards any wayward stream. The pot can be adjusted on any pot seat. It also comes with a stylish step stool for the child to reach the seat.

Another well known product flooding the market is that of Graco. The Graco potty is more comfortable for the baby because the seat is cushioned and the handles on either side is strong. These make it convenient for the mother to empty the pot.

Baby boys are easy to train since the because of the defector that is detachable. For the entertainment of the little ones there are stickers that come along with the Graco potty. Since these weigh only fifty pounds they are easy to handle. The maintenance of these potty seats is also simple. The plastic pot seat can be kept squeaky clean with just water and detergent.

The portable potty seat is even more convenient. As the name suggests they can be carried along even while you are travelling. There is a wide range of portable baby potty seats. They are usually made of polypropylene that has been recycled. The rubber edge of he portable potty seats hold it in plastic and the child has fun while sitting on the comfortable cushioned seat. Since they can be folded they take up a short space in your luggage.

A diaper bag and gloves come along with the seat. When not in use they can be hung up. The useful potty training seat is a must for all mothers.

This typically thoughtless remark has been the bane of many a new parent who start worrying inordinately if their child doesn’t start talking or walking by a certain age.

A baby talking early may be a source of pride for his parents but in no ways does it demean your own child if he is a late bloomer. The fact is that these developmental milestones are skills which babies learn in due time and though there is a typical age range for picking up these skills, by no means is there a specific age for infant talk nor is it mandatory that the skills be developed by that age. If in all other respects the baby is developing properly there is no cause for worry as there is no fixed age of when should baby talk.

The age babies start to talk varies from baby to baby. Most babies do not talk before their first birthday and their earliest words develop from pointing. By the time he turns one, he has started responding to sounds by turning in the direction of the sound and watching the face when someone speaks. Sounds familiar to him also elicit response from the baby as does calling out his name.

Simple instructions like ‘no’ or ‘very good’ is beginning to be understood by the baby and he tries to repeat familiar sounds or words. Though this infant speaking may come out as babbles like ‘ba-ba’ or ‘ma-ma’, they are enough to make the new parents ecstatic.

By 17 months of age, he will start pointing to those things when you call out their names or if the sounds are made. His vocabulary mainly consists of names of people, places, animals or things.

By two years age baby talk involves combining words like ‘more water’ etc and naming more objects in the environment. The toddler starts understanding simple full-length sentences and may even attempt to use pronouns like ‘he, she, me or I’ though the distinction may not be always be clear to him.

The speech accuracy becomes more pronounced by the time the child is about three years and he can construct sentences, uses pronouns more correctly, knows the usage of prepositions like ‘in or on’ and plurals and can even use certain past tenses.

These examples of baby age talk are only an indication of how and when a baby, in the most general terms, begins to talk and by no means should be the sole guidelines of measuring your child’s abilities.

Infant potty training is a hotly debated subject chiefly in relation to the right age in which it should begin. Let’s be clear at the outset that there is no such thing as the ‘perfect age’ to begin toilet training for babies. Some infants can be more receptive even at a very small age of 9-12 months old while others may not be potty trained even by the age of three or four.

The point which is being made here is that don’t get stuck on the ‘age number’; just because your infant is not ready to be potty trained at a certain period of age does not mean that there is something wrong with him/her. It just means that you have to defer the potty training till your baby shows signs of being ready for it.

Perhaps, nothing can cause a new mother more dread than the question of ‘when should I potty train my baby’? Relax; as mentioned earlier, how to start potty training should be dependent on the factor of when your baby shows signs of being receptive to the idea. This is the first step in a good infant potty training method and an excellent way to begin the whole process.

Though there is no fixed age, it has been seen that most infants are ready for sitting on the potty by the time they are about two years old. Some may begin much earlier while others start a bit later. The actions of the infant will show more than its age of when you should begin the toilet training.

Some of the indications of receptiveness are when the child begins to be aware of being wet or soiled and wanting to be changed. When your infant becomes capable of staying dry for a couple of hours and shows interest in being led to the bathroom, it indicates a willingness on his/her part to sit on the potty.

One of the best time to begin toilet training is in the summer when the child is not encumbered by too many clothes As a child has only a few seconds to go to the bathroom before it is too late, at least in the initial stages of toilet training, this will make the taking off/putting on pants faster and easier and less stressful for him.

Praise him as this will encourage him to continue. Rushing the child or reprimanding him will only shake his confidence and make him more nervous the next time he has an urge to go to the toilet. Making infant potty training a fun time ensures that the child does not feel any pressure and is led into the process naturally.

New mothers often wonder whether they will ever get a good night’s sleep again in their life time as their newborn sleeping schedule is, at its best, erratic and at its worst, almost non-existent! And no matter how many kids she has already had each new one comes with his/her special sleeping schedule so the previous experience does not come in all that handy.

At the best, it may prepare her to handle the situation a bit better. For new mothers as well as experienced ones, here are a few tips to come to grips with their newborn sleep schedules.

All newborn babies need sleep and they can sleep up to 16-18 hours a day though this is broken up into stretches of two or three hours when they require feeding after which they go back to sleep.

Babies younger than four months old have different sleep requirements than older babies. ‘Babies sleeping through the night’ at about two to four months of age actually has a totally different connotation than what it sounds; It actually means that many babies can sleep maybe at an uninterrupted stretch of five hours and does not mean sleeping from 9.00pm till 5.00 am the next morning(much to the wishful thinking of sleep-deprived parents!) This may only happen once the baby is around five- six months of age when the sleeping patterns change to accommodate about nine hours of sleep in the night.

Infants at this age will probably require two or three naps during the day time. But initially, with erratic feeding times because of the grow spurt in newborns, the schedules will always go haywire. As they get older, mothers will no longer have to worry about their baby not sleeping at night as by the time they turn a year old, they will sleeping through the night for an average of a good 12 hours.

The best way to help newborn sleep is to set a bedtime routine and teach the baby to fall asleep on his/her own. Avoid rocking, nursing or giving a bottle just to make the baby sleep as these can be tough acts to follow. The baby will get so used to such things that it will not fall asleep otherwise.

These things can be done a little ahead of the bedtime schedule and then the baby put in the crib just when it is getting drowsy; chances are, with a little patting it will fall asleep on its own. This type of routine will save the parent hours of rocking or walking about to make their child fall asleep. How to get a newborn to sleep at night will only come with experience and setting the newborn sleeping schedule will become easier as the baby grows older.

In today’s learning era, construction toys for kids are becoming more and more popular as they are liked both by parents and children for their characteristics which includes both learning and entertainment. These toys help children learn while they engage themselves in fun filled activities of assembling or building a toy.

Building toys for children are perhaps the best toys which the children and their parents can use together. How blissful it is to sit down with your child and see him building the toys. You can even guide them and show them how the toys connect. Giving them some ideas and praising them for their activities can encourage the child put in more efforts in building the toy and making their creative abilities unfold.

Children building toys makes a child feel a sense of achievement when he successfully constructs a toy from a scratch and is praised by his elders. This helps in developing a sense of confidence in the child.

Kids’ construction sets are available according to the age group of the child. Toys which you buy for your child must be age appropriate. For a toddler, toys which attract them to grasp it are helpful as they help the child develop their hand and eye coordination and also stimulate their mind. According to the age of the child, you must choose kids construction sets that help the child in developing physically and emotionally.

Construction kits for kids and building toys are offered by various brands. The most popular names in this field are LEGO and K’nex. While K’nex offers mechanically oriented designs such as mechanical systems, vehicles and structures, the models from LEGO are less functional as they are more oriented towards designing for looks.

You should first buy LEGO toys for your child as they have smaller pieces and can be easily managed by a small child. When the child gets bored of it then you can opt for K’nex toys which have more complex designs.

Apart from other benefit, the main benefits of construction toys are that they engage the child’s mind actively and help them open up their imaginations while playing. As kids think and imagine while building, their mind will be stimulated. Kids will also learn to follow directions as they need to follow guidelines and instructions for building complex toys. Kids also need to conceive their own model and few of the toys also help them in learning how to build a stable model and also improve its design.

So, investing in Construction toys for kids is worthwhile as they provide them with hours of absorbing play and teach them reasoning skills that open and develop their mind.
